Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers

After pinning away for this book for two long and checking about four bookstores for it I finally ordered it. After two weeks I got this book in the mail and started reading it. The first thing I noticed is that it would be AWESOME to smell emotions and know what was going on around you. At first I was dead set against Luc and didn't know how this could be a love triangle if he was a jerk, but after he started to feel emotions I started to fall for him along with Frannie. Speaking of Frannie I thought she was really cool, but one thing I did notice about her was that she cried. A lot. I felt like she cried every other chapter. Plus she didn't believe in love. What the hell?(No pun intended) I mean I can't even pretend to know what it would feel like to feel responsible for the death of your twin brother who was your best friend, but you love your grandfather and family right, your friends? And Gabe, oh Gabe. I wish I could have read more about you and from your POV, but I apparently can't in this book. I loved that you would have been willing to give up your wings for her and that you loved her even if you haven't edmited it yet. You are an awesome angel and I wish Trevor and Riley werent dating, because I think that they would make a good couple when the love triangle had taken its course. There's also Luc, the amazing hot demon who is now with Frannie, but I could have guessed that by the time he started to like her and her him that she was more into him than Gabe and that by the end of the book they'd be together. I'm still wondering what's going on with Frannie's parents and why the second her dad saw Luc he distrusted him. The book had a good ending and made me keep wanting to read more. I can't wait to read book two. 4.5 stars. Team Luc. I think?

Teen Wolf : On Fire by Nancy Holder

Teen Wolf is my favorite tv show so when I heard Nancy Holder was making a book out of it I couldn't wait to read it. While I was looking around at my local bookstore I stumbled upon it and knew I would be buying it. I pretty much always think that the books are better than the movies and tv shows, but this was an exception. While it was a good book I didn't enjoy it as much as the tv series. While I'm glad to have read it, I don't know if I would read it again. Some of the good parts though was learning about Derek's relationship with Kate and how much she really betrayed him and learning more about all of the characters. We get the point of views from Scott, Alison, Lydia, Derek, Kate, Stiles, and Jackson. The book started of right when Alison's dad had killed the mountin lion, the one framed by The Alpha for the killings and attacks. The story went on from there and we got to learn even more about all of those characters and what they're thinking. That's also one of the reasons I like books better than movies is because instead of just getting the characters actions we get their thoughts and their actions. I found a deeper hate for Kate, a further love for Stiles and Derek, and maybe a tiny bit of pity for Jackson. I'm still thinking it over. I think it's hard on him to know that his parents think he's going to fail and not knowing who his biological parents are. I'm wondering and hoping that Scott's dad is dead and never comes back, I was also cheering his mom on in this book in the flash backs. After the flash backs and different POVs I've decided that if Nancy Holder makes a sequel I'll read it. I'll give this book 3.5 stars, and hope to read a sequel. Happily there was no cliff hanger since we already know how season one ends and although the end wasn't my favorite I still thought it was an okay ending. Go Team Stiles!

Blood on the Moon by Jennifer Knight

I didn't expect this to be one of my favorite books, but once I got a fourth way through it I was hooked. I liked Faith, but I wished she would be more trusting, like Derek said it was like she had a wall that hid something from everyone she knew. Derek wasn't my favorite character, but I sure did love Lucas. He was so protective and awesome, but I felt like Derek was protective and really had no intention of hurting her. I just didn't see them being together in the end. I just really hope Lucas and Faith end up together. I can't wait for the next book. Can't wait for August 14 when the sequel Blood Crave comes out.

Moonlight by Rachel Hawthorne

For my summer reading program at my local library I was supposed to read ten books and this was one of my favorites out of the eight I've read so far. It was so addicting that I read it in five hours with short bathroom breaks inbetween. As far as I'm concerned each novel can be a stand alone novel, but if you read all of them you get to read about the other shifters that are in the first book. I loved the twists and turns throughout the story. I loved when Lucas and Kayla finally ended up together and I liked how mating worked that it wasn't just a one time thing that when they found their mate that was it. They mated for life, and I thought that was romantic. I didn't like that if the girl didn't want to be their mate the shifter had to live alone for the rest of their lives, that was depressing. I hope Mason falls out of the helicopter that came to get them, well I hope they all fall out. I think I'm going to be reading more of The Dark Guardian Series. Four and a Half Stars!

Frostbite by Richelle Mead

Rose: Can you get any funnier?! Christian: What are you going to do, pee on Lissa to mark your territory? Mason: I'm going to miss you. Mia: For once I actually feel sorry for you, loosing your mom would be really hard. Lissa: I'm not sure what I think about you but im starting to like you a little more. Dimitri: You love who you love. Remember that! Janine: By the end of the book I was liking you a whole lot more. Tasha: We all get it you like Dimitri and want to have his baby, now can you stop drooling over him. I also think your awesome to stand up and tell everyone what you think and I agree with you all the way. Adrian: I'm not sure what to think of you yet but you're warming up to me. Eddie: You're brave and loyal i'll give you that. Scenery: It's beautiful and sounds like a place I'd love to visit. All Strigoi: Watch out for this group of kick a** characters, if I were you I'd run. I loved this book and give it five stars! -Team Dimitri!<3-

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Almost every blog or everywhere I look online there's a review or advertisement for the amazing Vampire Academy, and now I know why. IT'S AMAZING. I think Rose is probably my favorite narrator of almost all time. She's a funny, kick a**, protective character that makes me want to read even more of Richelle Meads books. I absolutely LOVE Dimitri, but wish he would live a little. I think that Moroi need to stop hiding behind their guardians in fear and help with the power that they have. And Natalie, Natalie, Natilie, Natilie, really I mean come on. You're acting like a love sick puppy, but he's your dad. I'm still a little disgusted. You were willing to turn into a strigoi and possibly die and you were all gong-ho about it, you went against everything you were taught and betrayed everyone you knew even your own cousin. You always seemed so innocent, but in reality you were killing animals and putting them in your cousins bed. You're CRAZY. I guess with a dad like Victor though that's willing to have his own daughterer die for his cause and not even feel the least bit sorry about it your stuck with crazy parents. I have one word for that. PSYCHOPATH. Mason I so wish that you could end up with someone who really loves you, you're awesome, sarcastic, funny, loyal, and protective. Mia, I have two things to say. GET A LIFE. And NOBODY LIKES YOU. And Lissa,I think you need to take more responsibility for your own well being, Rose isn't going to be able to protect you 24/7 even though she try's. I know she's the only thing you have left and I can't imagine losing my whole family, but you need to be independent to. You need to be able to hold your own end of the stick. I know you tried about halfway throught the book, but I felt like you left her behind when you got sucked into the Royal crowd again.I loved this book and the next thing on my reading list is Frostbite. Five stars for Vampire Academy. Rose + Dimitri = Love Forever

Chasing Brooklyn by Lisa Schroeder

This is the third book by Lisa Schroeder I've read and none of them have disappointed me. They all made me want to cry reading about love that lasts beyond the grave and that wants only whats best for the love of their life and wants them to move on and be happy. Chasing Brooklyn is about a girl, named Booklyn, whose boyfriend, Lucca, died from an accident that happened while their friend Gabe was driving when she was out of town. Their friend Gabe, a year later overdoses. Luccas brother, Nico, feels like he was never as good as his brother so he spends all his time running to get away from his problems. When Lucca died he lost his brother and his best friend so he's still lost also. the book switches points of view and it's nice to read from both of their sides of the story. Brooklyn starts having nightmares of Gabe chasing her and telling her not to let fear run her life. Meanwhile Nico is being haunted relentlessly by Lucca who's telling him to help Brooklyn. As Nico comforts and helps Brooklyn move on they both start to have feeling for each other, but still struggle with their loyalties to Lucca. By the end of the book they are now dating, Brooklyn has stopped having nightmares about Gabe, and they learn that Lucca wants them to be happy and together. I loved the short tie-in of the book I Heart You, You Haunt Me. I liked the verse format and although I almost NEVER cry when I read books I cried about this one, it will touch any and all romantics and make you want to read more books by Lisa Schroeder.

Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

This is now one of my favorite books. I felt that the book got straight to the good parts. We found out about what she was, met Kaiden, and talked about her senses. I loved Kaiden even though I didn't like his job or that he kept pushing Anna away. I thought it was also nice to read that she had a supportive adoptive mom, sometimes in books you have the wicked stepmother, adoptive, or foster mom that treats them like crap. I liked Anna's dad and how it was evident that he still loved her mom and that her would do almost anything for his little girl. I liked her best friend, Jay, and that he was protective of her. I thought that the four Nephs were cool, and I also understood Gingers protectiveness of her sister. I didn't like the end much, the fact that Kai left made me sad and I felt like when him and Anna had finally had a sort of breakthrough he had to leave. I thought Kopano was nice, but I think that Anna and Kaiden are better together. I can't wait to read the next book!

Wake By Lisa McMann

Ok, to start this I have to say that I liked this book. As you get to the end of the book or towards the end, at least for me I think the back cover was a little misleading. To me it sounded like she was in danger and being hurt by the pycho person in their dreams. I guess not,I thought that the character was strong though to go through it all alone with her alcoholic mother and no dad. I also thought that some of the dreams she was in were disturbing. I liked most of the characters and loved how it ended. I thought it was funny how many times this book said the F-word. I liked the way the author wrote the book. Even if the book wasn't in first person I still felt like I was going through with her, and was there. I'm reading Fade book to in the Wake series next, or soon.🌙

Daimon By Jennifer L. Armentrout

After reading Obsidian and Shadows I decided to try another series by the same author. I got this book on my kindle and read it in about an hour and a half taking breaks along the way and it was really good. I loved Alex the kick a** main character and thought that she was brave throughout the book even in times when she didn't think so. I liked when we got little memories about her past like where she kicked the Minister in the shin because she didn't like being touched, or when she and her old Best Friend Caleb were messing around in training class where the teacher was talking about take downs and if you don't do it right you can break someone's neck and she was so confident. She also ended up breaking her partners neck, but don't worry he lived, and she even ended up getting called "Nail Driver" for a while. I liked this book and can't wait until I can read the rest of this series.

Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I just finished Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and I loved it. It was different not having Katty in the book who I could relate to more, but I also liked Bethany. I also thought that her and Dawson were great together. I've liked Daemon a whole lot more reading from his POV and seeing that he's not a jerk, and only acts like that sometimes for certain reasons. I thought that Bethany was nice, but that it was a little weird for her to get over the fact that he was an alien/Luxen so quickly. I also thought that was cool to and could see he fell even deeper in love with her when she didnt really care about that secret, just him. I loved this book and can't wait to read Onyx and Half-Blood.
